Fear Affects People’s Lives

Fear is a strong emotion and can cause people to not do something that they want to do.Whether it’s from being scared to join the theater program or taking driving test for the first time fear affects people’s lives by causing people to break down.Sometimes fear can cause people to get an adrenalin rush which could help someone complete a task just like Eile did in Night.
One of fears effects on people is causing them to break down on the outside and on the inside. For example,in Night Elie’s father is a strong sturdy man at the beginning he tells Eile that the beatings don’t hurt, stay strong in their beliefs as Jew’s, and even gives up some of his food. But as the continues to get beat, give up his food and question what he believes in, fear starts to take over and he begins to break down the father on the outside. He eventually completely breaks down on the inside and outside and gives Eile the family spoon and the next morning when Eile returned from work his father is no longer there because fear has caused him to give up.
In addition, just as fear has taken over Elie’s father and caused him to break down and die Elie has the thought of just stopping his run through the snow and get shot but when he sees his friend fall to the ground and give up he doesn’t hear any gunshots and realizes that when his friend falls no one stopped running so that meant he got trampled by all of the other Jews who were running behind Eile. That puts fear in Eile’s body which helps keep him on running all the way to the camp and the fear that he has helps him survive the Holocaust.
Overall, fear has many effects on people’s lives but some of them are good like the one Eile had when he saw his friend give up and die.

My Writing is like a video game

You might think i’m just
a fifteen-year-old boy
with blonde hair
and blue eyes
But I know I am more
way more than that
not a wizard or a dragon
not a cat or a tree
A video game
a slow-producing video game
When I’m down in the dumps
or lost in solitude
When I go home and hide
watching the paint slowly peel away
I am a video game unreadable
not moving
children becoming agitated
wanting to get away
But when I perk up
my video game starts up again
Disappointed children’s faces light up
and present blinding smiles again
I become a fast surprising video game
with dungeons and dragons
surprising everyone with my sudden moves
I begin to throw more at the player
I’m constantly going
until I can no longer continue
and then that’s where I shut down
I take sip of electricity
and start over again
and again
The blonde hair,blue eyed boy
is a video game
slow,fast,surprising video game
all in one disc.

How do Extracurricular activities affect people’s life

Band, track, and theater are just a few of the many extracurricular activities that students choose from. Whether, it’s from marching in the band to acting in front of a full house, extra-curricular activities can help students as well as hurt them. A positive effect is that it helps students brain develop more but a negative effect would be that students would have trouble keeping balance.

Extra-curricular activities are mostly known for their positive effects. For example, if two students who were about to take the exact same test by themselves and one of the students were in band, track, and theater while the other one wasn’t the student who is in all of these activities is the one to most likely succeed. This shows one of the most commonly known positive effects which is extra-curricular activities helps the brain to grow more strong. Due to activities causing students to give up there fun, lazy, carefree nights and replace them with nights filled with Learning lines, practicing for hours, and not giving up when things get rough. Helping the brain grow isn’t the only thing that extracurricular actives do it also helps teach students about managing time. Because with trying to learn lines, practicing, and not losing your mind along with English and math teachers giving you homework every night you have to learn how to manage time or you will end up like Pac mule barely making it up the hill of success.

In addition, to the positive effects of extra-curricular activities there are some negative effects too. For example, extra-curricular activities may help people to learn about time management but not all people realize how much time the activities and homework take up. So when people try to take on all of these activities they end up failing so many grades that they end up falling like the city of Pompeii. Very few people are able to handle all of the activities and those are the kids, who are able to complete their activities, do their homework and can still find some free time for themselves. Extra-curricular activities don’t just cause students to get behind on their grades it also puts a ton of stress on the student which most of the time cause the student to give up on school and everything else .Therefore, most students get so far behind with their grades that the stress becomes so unbearable it causes them to give up and end up walking around almost zombie like in the land of forgotten papers.

In conclusion, even though extra-curricular activities can help the development of the brain better and may seem so positive, there is a dark side that causes students to drown in the river of failing grades.

Cell Phone Effects

Wow! It’s so amazing! How can that be? That’s impossible. Statements like these have been captured people’s amazement as phones progress and continue to affect their lives. Whether it’s from an 78 year old grandfather calling the paramedics so they can stop his heart attack, to a scared 11 year old boy calling the cops to stop a robber while home alone, phones continue to amaze people. However, even though cell phones have been the newest rave they still pose some negative consequences. Positively, cell phones, can save people’s lives, while negatively they can cause many distractions.

Whether it’s from saving a grandpa from a heart attack or calling the police so they can stop a murder phones have affected the lives of many. For Example, let’s say an 80 year old grandpa is trying to fix his car when all of a sudden he has a heart attack what does he do he pulls out his phone and calls the paramedics. Amazingly the phone was able to send a signal to space and back to the paramedics in a matter of seconds, and now instead of a family attending a funeral they are rejoicing the fact of their grandfather alive all thanks to a phone. However, if something like that were to happen in the 1700’s the grandfather probably would have died, but thanks to the amazing work of the phone we don’t have to worry about that. Therefore, phones do have some amazing effects, but the best would be how they can save so many lives in a matter of seconds and how phones can do that is absolutely outstanding.

In addition, phones can save lives but they can also take lives just as quick as they can save them. For example, let’s say a 15 year old boy is sitting in class listening to a speech and then his phone goes off and he checks it. Now that may not sound that bad but the phone has just caused the student to miss the teacher say there’s a test and he fails the test the next day, this may be a small example but it’s still a negative example. Phone’s don’t just affect students in class they can also cause deaths, let’s say a 17 year old teen is driving down I-20 obeying all of the laws when his phone goes off, he makes the decision to check his phone but as he looks down he doesn’t see the truck pulling out of a parking lot and ends up killing himself and the driver when he hits the car doing 80.This is an extreme example of how phones can affect someone’s life in a negative way but this happens along with many other negative effects.
Therefore, those were two great examples of how phones have affected people’s lives both in a positive and a negative way.
